Imagination

The wise little soul

Prefaced her stories

With a little announcement,

As if to relate them

In the best way she knew how;

And they were all quite interesting,

Original, and always full

Of twists and turns,

Told with the imagination

Of a six year old

With the mind of a tween.

A little flower seeking nourishment

I thank God for the privilege

Of having my granddaughter

Stay with me,

If even for a few days;

And if I can make her feel

Special and wonderful,

I have done my duty;

Because that, she is.

Paying back

When it seems as though

You can’t even afford

To pay attention: you can.

You can pay attention to God

Who looks after you,

And you can pay Him back

By doing His will.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

God help me

I pray to know

That God is with me,

I pray for Him to show

Me the way, today,

I pray for His arms

To ever be around me,

And I pray for His thoughts

To come clear to me;

I pray for His love

To be in my soul,

And I pray for everyone

That they would be whole.

Simple pleasures

A sunflower is now tall enough

To peep through my window,

And even though it has no face yet,

Mr. Sunflower has managed

To startle the dogs once or twice,

Just by calmly blowing to and fro

In the quiet summer breeze.

It seems to be taking over

The livingroom window view

Moreso, day by day:

Oh, I love anything to do with nature;

And those vast green leaves

On this statue of botanic beauty,

Now peeking through,

Are not intrusive,

But a simple pleasure to behold.

The reality of being

The reality of life

Begins with goodness

And harmony;

There is no way

To influence God, Love,

Than to be cognizant

Of the fact that goodness

And harmony are all there is.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

I’m indebted

I’m indebted to God,

And His loving care;

I’ve been held safely

In His arms of love,

And though I have fallen

I always got back up:

He gives me hope for the future

Helps me to live today fully.

Yes, I’m indebted to God

For many good reasons;

Mostly for giving me freedom

From materiality,

And from limited thinking.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

No time passes

When good friends drop by

It is as though no time has passed,

For, in reality, no time does pass

Between friends;

So, never lament

That you have not seen yours,

Because they are where

They are needed;

And when you do see them,

It will seem like the day after

Your last parting.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Goodness and power

There is so much

Goodness and power

In a life with God, Love,

That there is not enough paper

To write about it all;

Suffice it to say

There is nothing better

Than helping someone needy

And being open with

Our own good energy.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

All

All is everything

There is nothing else,

My all excludes no thing,

It is all-encompassing,

Complete in every way;

Bringing to my mind

The meaning of Life.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Loving feeling

God’s love includes everyone,

So let us each ponder this,

And have an affection

For our fellow people;

Which will bring about

So much of a loving feeling

That you will wonder

Why you did not do this

Much earlier in your life.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Work for Love

To work for Love

Is not an easy road,

But if we try to emulate

What the Master did,

And trust divine Love to reveal

The messages we need,

Telling us how we can

Make a difference,

The transforming power of God

Comes to us all,

And we feel new.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

God’s provision

The daily provision

I have felt has been given

With a gentle hand,

And a tender assurance,

I was taken to every single place

Where gainful employment occurred;

And exactly when I needed it;

But, in reality,

My real employer is God,

Love, who is All.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

All is good, every moment

There is nothing else

But Love, Truth, God, Spirit,

Everything we seem to see

Is but an illusion,

Not a part of God’s kingdom;

Nor does God ever condone

Anything that is not good;

So, rest in peace, dear friend,

Knowing that you

Are lovingly cared for,

Every moment.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Reveal harmony

Loving one’s neighbour

Is the natural outcome

Of loving God, Truth;

So, let us put forward

Our best selves, every day,

And reveal harmony

As ever-present.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Heart, Soul, and Mind

We are meant to love God

With all our heart, soul and mind,

And to love our neighbour

Like we do ourselves:

What more can we do

But honour God’s own law,

And do what He wills us to do?

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

A day like today

Take a day like today

And multiple it by 7

And you get a week;

Oh! Let the days fly by,

Know that every one of them

Is complete in its own way,

And each one completes you,

Just as you complete it.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Comfort zone

I rarely venture

Out of my own

Comfort zone,

Because I know

What is true and real;

And I know that I am led,

And so therefore,

Wherever I am,

Is where I ought to be.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Reflect the divine

There are some things

I never talk about;

And for some reason,

I cannot even remember

What they are: it has been so long;

But suffice it to say

Certain subjects no longer interest me;

And I’m reluctant to discuss things

That bother me to talk about

Or to get involved in;

So mainly, I keep to myself,

And work to have

All my thoughts perfect,

And reflecting the divine.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

All will, and is, working out

"Lots can happen"

I think to myself

When things get tough

And I never have an occasion

Where I doubt that all will, and is,

Working out in my life.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Life in all Seasons

Life has nothing to do

With commerce,

Or material things;

Summer or fall;

Life is the breathe of air you get

First thing in the morning, outside,

And all those fresh scents

You enjoy in spring;

Life is seeing your visible breath

As a cute little cloud in the air,

In the winter time;

Life is you and you are part

Of something much bigger:

Which loves you; and keep you safe,

Life is learning to live Life

To its fullest:

Life is God:  in every season.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

In another world

Hitching a ride on a dream,

That is what some say I do;

They think I look at the world

With rose-coloured glasses,

But, I look at it from

God’s standpoint,

I see no materiality,

Just the pure and beautiful essence

Of humanity.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Inspired action

Inspired thoughts

Cause inspired action;

Do not grumble

About doing a favour,

Lend a hand:

It’s therapeutic,

So, get yourself inspired first,

Then all your actions

Will also be thus.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

cared for

No matter what happens,

You are always with God,

Who is Love:

An ever-present reality;

You are, and have been

Looked after, ever so patiently,

By this loving phenomenon

Who talks to you with ideas,

Gently guiding you,

And, if you should stray,

Bringing you back into the fold.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Going with the flow

Love and Life are a river

Whose strong calm currents

Take me wherever I’m meant to be;

The waters are cool, refreshing,

Not what one would think of

For unknown waters:

They calm my inner soul,

Furnish my mind with untold ideas

As infinity is expressed through me;

Evidenced in my God-given ability

To sustain myself under every

And all circumstances,

Simply by knowing Truth

And by going with the flow in Life.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Heavenward

I believe we all have things

That we would like to correct

About ourselves,

And the best way to begin

Is from within,

Knowing that inner Source

Which guides us well,

And helps us each

In our journey heavenward.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Helping one another

I felt the need,

And I met it well;

As my own needs

Have always been aptly met;

And you may need food,

Or simply some time,

As you offer me a smile,

I know you have much love

For animals and mankind;

And I love you for so doing:

This is living life to its fullest,

Helping one another.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Listen for divine answers

The principle of math stays the same,

Just like God never changes,

He is constant, ever-present,

Ever-ready, and He listens to us;

But, we need to listen back;

So, while we pray and ask

For things and help;

Let us not simply

Dump our problems upon Him,

But rather, fervently and silently

Listen for divine answers.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Pulling together

If worry thoughts come,

I remind myself how God has always

Had everything in His complete

And tender control,

So I know I will be led

To where I need to be,

In order to pull

Everything together.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Give a cup of water

To meet the needs of mankind

Seems like a very tall order,

But we each must do our part;

Giving when required,

And offering our version

Of a cup of cold water

To someone in need.

This is the right thing to do;

And what Love, God,

Would have us do.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Have faith

Never fear that you

Can do something wrong,

For God guides you

In the correct path;

And, if by chance,

You should wander,

He will actually bring you back,

And everything will fall into place;

All you need to do is continually

Correct your own thoughts

And have faith.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

The mean

I cannot say enough

About the middle ground;

And balance is the mean;

The same thing men

Such as Aristotle resounded;

And, when everything complies,

There is peace and harmony.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

divine thoughts

I’ve never been reconciled

To worldly thoughts;

And I do not subscribe

Nor agree with the strain of thought

Considered normal;

Rather, I develop my own agenda in life,

And I listen for divine thoughts

That come in silent moments;

To all those who ask for guidance.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

remembered: God bless him

I thought one thing;

Then, another thing happened.

As I worked and prayed to know

My cat friend’s spiritual perfection;

The seeming condition vanished;

Then, suddenly, without warning

And when it seemed all was well,

He stopped purring,

As he clung to me through the night,

Like a child cleaves to its parents,

And then, he left me.

As I sat holding him,

I was reading about

The present immortality

And footsteps heavenward.

All really was well,

For the prayerful work I had done,

Helped to uplift my own thoughts

And, there was no looking back

Or denying the real Truth;

That my feline friend was

And still is, a spiritual being.

Love had so lovingly

Made sure I was ready

When my friend left this material scene;

And today, I’m grateful for having

This wonderful animal in my life;

And for all the beautiful love

He gave me so freely, each

And every day, for so many years:

He is remembered well:  God bless him.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

The reality of the natural

Lucrative efforts

Turn into things

Accomplished;

And even if we never know

What is going to happen

Before its time;

We need to trust

And know the fallacy

Of the so-named miracle,

And the reality

Of the real and natural.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Puppies and kittens

Little animals are such

Wonders within themselves;

Bringing such joy to everyone;

Little baby puppies and kittens

Are blind and so very trusting,

Surely, the love they receive

At their so vulnerable time of infancy,

Is given out tenfold in their little lives.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Sharing

My expectations were high

As my spirit shone so brightly,

And it was my greatest pleasure

To have my granddaughter here;

So that I could share with her

My love for God.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Complete healing

I will help if I can help,

But only if I am asked,

And if not, I have an overall prayer

Knowing that God is All: everywhere,

As such, He or She has complete care

And control of every situation.

Farbeit for me to convince anyone

To change to my way of thinking,

But I know it helps in my own life;

So, even though each person thinks

The way he or she does,

Unless one seeks wisdom

One never will attain wisdom;

But forever remains,

With outstretched arms,

Unable quite to touch

The hem of the garment

Wherein complete healing

Occurs naturally.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Nighthawk

I sensed your need:

And I felt the call

It was as natural as all,

As we chatted about things

That were of great import,

And laughed about stuff

I’d forgotten about;

And onward, the connection held,

Until soon enough,

You gave up, to go to bed:

And all I have to say now is

I told you I was a night-hawk

And you can call me any time:

You know what I’m about.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Kids: the right thing to do

Kids should respect their elders;

They ought to follow Truth and Love.

God demands obedience

And I’d like to explain

To the children out there

That when you do not do

What your parent has requested,

You are going against the good,

And making a huge mistake

Because it is right to honour

Your parents,

This is one of God's laws,

And is the only right thing to do.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

No problem

If my sense of ease seems compromised

By someone attempting

To impress me wrongly;

I just stick with Truth,

Knowing that whatever happens

Was meant to be.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

God’s law of Direction

I once implored God

To send me more money,

Then, I landed a great job,

Which met my needs;

I know God worked hard

To get me in there,

And have me listen

To where He wanted me to be;

And if ever I wonder about the timing;

Or whether or not I would have

Accomplished anything at all

Without His tender guidance;

I know that I would not,

For God’s law of Direction

Is indispensable to me,

And I am nothing without God.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Wisdom

Good vibes are felt;

But, if there is no feeling;

There are no vibes,

Neither good nor poor,

And vibes are the opposite

Of knowledge, Truth,

For true wisdom comes

From looking at the unseen

Rather than acquiescing

To material things

Such as feelings.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Memories

My granddaughter sings

And makes up the songs,

As her little soul is exposed,

Into the microphone,

And onto a tape,

For a wonderful replaying

At a later date.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Thank You, Father

My body has been transformed

As my mind was renewed,

Just as was promised,

And this has happened

On more than one occasion;

Any time anything needs correcting

It is adjusted or corrected,

Without hesitation;

For this and other good things

I praise the Lord today.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Correct your beliefs

Never believe

That you deteriorate

As time passes,

Since, in God’s kingdom,

There is no time,

And no decreptitude, either;

Because everyone is made

In His likeness and in His image,

Completely perfect spiritually.

Hold to these good ideas;

For all things conform

To the thoughts

Which are foremost

In your head.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

seething

seething thoughts

Expose themselves,

As what they actually are:

Nothing;

And, as good permeates

Throughout your psyche,

And your system,

You will learn for yourself

Why it says in the good book

That to believe is to see.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Things that mean the most

There’s nothing more

I can teach you, my dear,

That is above metaphysics;

And you know,

I took the time to teach you

In your youth; Now,

As an adult, it’s between

You and divine Love;

So, while you may now think me

Frivolous to speak of things unseen,

These are the things which I believe

Mean the most.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Thanks

You came to me

When I needed you;

I had so much

Maternal love to give,

And I thank you

For the privilege

Of being your mom.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Into the fold

I’m inspired: I love God,

God loves me;

Life is good, I’m so free.

This is great: though not exactly

What I imagined;

I have everything I need

And can lend a hand to someone else

Whose needs await a true heart

In their own time of need,

And who, perchance,

May appreciate hearing Truth;

Whereby their listless lives

May be enlightened.

And they may be brought back

Into the fold

That knows only good.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Truly whole

Freedom of thought

Is the most important goal

For to have others control you

Is of no avail;

For if this happens,

You may temporarily lose your soul,

And it was not meant to be that way;

Because you are truly whole.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Beliefs

I believe in myself

I believe in Love,

I believe in health

I believe in Truth,

My beliefs are principled

And there is no thing left out,

There is no deceit: only Truth;

My beliefs are mine,

But, isn’t it nice

That I can share them

With someone else

Who may be looking to

Change or upgrade theirs?

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Let go and trust

When, in your heart

You choose to do what is right,

Do not worry,

The Hand will guide you

To where you ought to be;

Which is the right place for you,

Not for anyone else: just for you.

This is precisely where

You can be your best

And do the most good

For those around you,

So let go of material things

And trust that you will be

In the right place, at all times.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Infinite goodness

We can each develop

An infinite sense of goodness;

All we need to do is concentrate

On good only;

And disallow anything else

From taking root in the soil

Of our minds;

We can learn how to lean

Upon infinite Love

To help us see that infinite goodness

Is, in reality, all there really is,

Even if, at times, it is unseen.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Kitty

The kitten meows at the door

And, when I open it up,

He scrambles down the stairs;

Afraid of his own shadow,

And, while seconds before

He had a loud demanding kitten voice

Now here he is, running away.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Strive

Strive to enter in, my friend,

Even if the doorway seems

Only partly open,

Just squeeze in there,

Do your best to be in God’s service,

Because divine Love needs you,

Wants you.

Give up materialism

And get with living your best life.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

The immortal

Eternity is not reached

Right here, right now,

It is always forever there

The immortal, once reached,

Can never be turned back

To limited thinking.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Right Place

I work for God;

And as such,

I am on call

And never actually know

What is ahead,

Although I pride myself

In knowing Who knows.

And my pay is sometimes

Respite in or beside

The proverbial green pastures;

And I’m not alarmed when

My bank account seems to dwindle,

Because I know He is here right now,

Calming, assuring me that

Everything will work out,

And is working out,

Because I am in my right place,

Right now,

Where I can do the most good

And where God needs me.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

For you

I take my job seriously

That of meeting the needs

Of the world,

And in this effort,

I take a little time

To write some poetry

For you.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Everywhere

God is the power

Regulating all movement

On Earth,

And in the solar system;

God is the One

Keeping all in order,

And meeting all needs

Everywhere.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Nothing ungood

If anything should

Appear to take place

That would be considered ungood,

Or against God’s will,

It is only an appearance,

An illusion of the senses;

So, rest assured,

That no thing can be wrong,

Everything is as it should be:

And it is all good.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

We are chosen

God chooses us

To do His will,

And until it is clear

That our intentions are pure;

Truth remains hidden,

As the gem of great price,

Waiting to be discovered.

We must share

When we are with God

We know He is all good,

And we are His children;

Reflecting His good qualities

Without gender;

And, as we enter the kingdom,

There is always an answer,

Due to the ceaseless, conscious

Ever-presence of divine Love.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Love

There is no good reason

To hurt another person;

If you have a problem,

Work to save yourself

And, as a child of God,

Divine Love will guide you,

Because there is no other way

To achieve peace and tranquility,

Without Truth and Love.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

The Ever-Presence of Love

Love is not its opposite

Nor is light, darkness;

There is no thing else

Existing but tender,

Ever-present Love,

Which overcomes

Everything unlike itself;

We ought to think about this,

And work towards showing

In our own lives,

How the presence of Love

Banishes all else.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

He’s everything

He is a calm person

His thought is pure,

He likes everyone,

He is trying his best

To be Christ-like,

And when things happen,

He takes the high road

Every time,

He is a good friend:

He’s everything.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Witness harmony

There is no reason

To be self-gratifying

When one is with God,

One is always cared for,

We need never wonder

What is coming to us,

Just trust and know

God being all

Has it all handled;

And we are simply here

To witness harmony.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Adventure in commerce

My supply is always assured;

And the things I value most

Are the unseen good qualities

Of God, which I express;

Sometimes, I seem to have need

Of some material things, like money;

However, I know divine Love

Will show me how to get some

And to keep my word;

Paying all those whom

I have promised to pay;

And again, I look forward to

Yet another adventure in commerce,

Doing His will.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Diffuse with Love

Jesus told us to love

Our neighbours

Just as we love ourselves;

So, any situation

That may seem to irritate us,

Should be diffused completely

With pure Love.

Go forward with Truth

Banish wrong thoughts

Disallow them from the mind

Take control,

Know that God, Love,

Is All in All,

There is nothing else;

Leave everything else behind,

And go forward with Truth.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Do what He wishes

Disciplined and receptive thought

Bring full salvation, freedom

From everything that is ungood,

As the reality that we all seek,

We can experience here and now,

All problems can be solved

By turning to God, Love.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Smile

Forbidding angry thoughts

From entry into my mind

Helps me to overcome

Any mistake in action,

And I only wish to do good,

And my sense of good prevails,

Putting a smile back on my face,

So, I do what I am meant to do,

Blessing others as best I can.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Blessed, and expressing

There are laws of God

Which preclude all else,

And the material world

Is not what we think it is.

Despite all the problems

Christ had,

He gave us his example,

Showing us how

To conduct ourselves in life

And telling us how to think;

The result being

When we walk in his footsteps

We are blessed, and expressing

The spiritual laws of God.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

harmony and infinity

Yield to the truth you know

And know God is here

Right now, developing

And influencing us

Through Christ, Truth;

Guiding every move

At every interval;

When one is tuned in

And one’s consciousness

Is open and free.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Ideas

When devoted to God, infinite Love,

Expressing love for others;

All else tends to be voided;

As we banish from our thoughts

Anything not like the divine;

We are each shown our God-given dominion:

As love, patience, gentleness, goodness

Truly banish everything unlike good

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Be clear

We need to rid ourselves of fear,

Disallowing ungood thoughts;

And develop our personal selves

Into what is our real person;

Knowing our perfection is real;

As we each are worthy in God’s eyes,

And each of us is receiving His full love;

There is no other thing in life

That is more important than this fact.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Knowledge

It is a luxury to know

That one has knowledge,

As wisdom bids one

To take a look at what one does

With such knowledge,

One thing becomes obvious:

Wisdom is gained through

The passing on of knowledge,

And this is the right thing to do.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Harmony

We have no way

Of knowing how things

Will work out for us;

We just need to trust;

Leave it up to the Principle

Of the entire universe,

Which can be trusted to

Balance everything out;

And reveal the already

Present harmony.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

In debt forever

I’m a debtor:

I owe everything

I am or have, to Christ;

Yes, I’m his person;

My gratitude is only

An infinitesimal payment

For the huge debt I owe him;

There is no way I could ever

Pay off this wonderful debt

In its entirety;

Because the payback schedule,

Has only one term available,

Which is eternity.

© C.A. Warman Dickinson

Walking the walk

They walked along

And he walked with them;

They told him they had trusted,

In the past tense,

And then, once he had

Vanished from their physical sight;

They turned to one another,

Asking one another

If their hearts had burned;

Thus, realizing

That they had just witnessed

The ever-presence of the Christ.

We also can recognize this,

When we feel the soft, gentle

Lovingkindness of Christ.
